 Between October 1st through May 31st

During the heating season, the building owner of a privately-owned multiple dwelling in the five boroughs of New York City are required to maintain an indoor temperature as follows:

At least 68 degrees Fahrenheit between the hours of  6 a.m. and 10 p.m., when the outdoor temperature falls below 55 degrees.

At least 55 degrees Fahrenheit between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., when the outdoor temperature falls below 40 degrees.


Between June 1st and September 30th

NO HEAT REQUIRED
